Project Details
Client: The City Of Calgary
Project Duration: November 2018 to January 2019
The 4th street underpass known as the Corridor of Connection was in poor condition with broken light fixtures and details that were falling off – this was causing a hazard to the public. The Calgary Municipal Land Corporation commissioned local visual artist Michelle Hoogveld to paint this impressive mural, which spans 950 feet and runs along both sides of the 4th street SE underpass. We removed the old aluminum brackets and glass to install our new custom brackets to finish it off. Working along with Stantec and Allied Projects – everyone came together as a team and the men worked long hours on cold days to get the project completed. They drilled a total of 5840 holes and installed 7300 in. ft. of brackets and lenses.
