Description

This property had an existing SBS cold roof system that was damaged in the recent hailstorm. The owner took this opportunity to review their roof and completed necessary upgrades for their tenants. The existing system had an 8" airgap between the insulation and timber deck which was original for the property from the 1960s. We removed the roof including the timber deck, removed the existing insulation and vapour barrier. We then completed new drain installs with plumbing and scupper install in the roofing cavity. Once the pluming install was finished, we utilized a spray foam vapor barrier, 12" of insulation top provide an increased R-value and new furring strips to maximize the fall of the roof deck without effecting the parapet. New double layer SBS was then installed with all new metal elements providing long term protection for the foreseeable future.
